Description

Set several years after the end of Risen, raging titans have devastated the world and pushed humanity to the brink of existence. Subsequently, monstrous creatures have risen from the watery depths of the sea and their attacks have brought all seafaring to a grinding halt. The hero, now a member of the Inquisition, is sent out to find out how to stop the chaos caused by these creatures from the deep. His quest begins with rumors that the pirates who frequent the southern islands are the only ones who know a way to get rid of the creatures once and for all and end their reign of terror.

Description

Glitches

• Lots of Empty Clips

  Similar to the glitch in Max Payne 1 which allows you to drop the same clip on the ground numerous times by jumping, this involves the same technique. Once you've hit the reload button, do a jump roll (NOT [shift] bulletdodge) to the left, right, or back, as soon as the clip is coming out, when you come out of the jump roll, Max will drop the clip again, and the process can begin anew. However, jumping up or forward will not affect the reload.
  

• Super Jump

  Switch from a one handed weapon (pistols, SMG's) to a two handed weapon (shotgun, rifle) or vice versa and immediately press jump.

• In Memoriam (eerie)

  This could be found on Part 1 Chapter 7 (The Million Dollar Question) After entering the room with a cleaner talking to another outside a window, take em off both. Jump into the lift outside the window and press the button to make your way down the scaffoldings. Make your way further down the scaffoldings into another window below where you've just seen a man taken off. Blast the cleaner inside with a shotgun (preferably! bang!) and instead of going inside, move your way further to the left side of the building (walk on the ledge). There you'll see an open window with some sort of faint light emanating from the inside. See for yourself what's inside the room! Eeerie!
  

• Kung Fu Poster

  In part 1, chapter 6 go through the entrie fun house til you are in Mona's hideout. Once Inside look around in Mona's gym area. You will find a poster of the famous Max Payne 1 mod Kung fu by Kenneth Yeung.

  Go to Start Menu->Run and type in ''regedit''. Press Enter.

• Endless Empty Clips

  When reloading a gun like the Double Beretta or Ingram, press jump as soon as the empty clips fall out, and Max will reload his gun again upon landing, producing more empty clips. You can do this an unlimited number of times.

  In the training level, look closely at the sign on the TAR CAFE (it's near the Police Mobile Arrest Centre on the street). It says:

• Vampire Easter Egg

  On Part I-Chapter 3, there is a door that you can break down (just before the toppling boiler). Go through the door and out a window. After following the bloodstains on the ledge, you'll come to another window to go through after bashing in. Lots of goodies here, and also a body with a stake in its back on the floor with the letters ''BUFF'' drawn next to it in blood -- a little tip of the hat to a famous vampire slayer.
  

• War of the Rats

  On Part I: Chapter 2, you can cause the rats to war amongst themselves. Use the developer command line cheat and give yourself a grenade (<F12> then ''getgrenade'' in the console) at the start of the level. Toss it in the gap of broken titles after the initial level_start camera panning. This will cause the mission objectives to change to ''I had declared war against the rats''. As you progress through the level, you will come across the two factions of rats -- WITH DESERT EAGLES! Shoot at one of the ceiling lamps that's off at its base to make it fall, causing the start of the war. If your group of rats wins, they will join forces and follow you through the rest of the level. If the other rats win, they'll turn their remaining forces on you.
  

Secrets

• Access the secret ending

  To view the secret ending of ''Max Payne'', enter this into the devloper console, without quotes:

• Bad Ending

  To view the 'bad ending' of Max Payne, just let the helicopter on the final level take off.
  

• Developer Messages

  On the level where you are confronting B.B. on the parking garage, there is a hidden area where you can get a sniper rifle & ammo. Before going down the first ramp that leads deeper in to the garage, jump on the various objects by the entrance to the lower levels to get on a roof with a small metal-walled building on top. Bash on all the walls with the bat until a panel falls away and then go inside. Once inside, you'll also see a radio you can turn on to hear a rather humourous message from a couple of the game's developers.
  

• Extra Difficulty Settings

  If you successfully beat the game on Fugative mode you will unlock two new difficulty settings. ''The New York Minute'' and ''Hard-Boiled''.
  

• God Mode, Unlimited Ammo, All Guns

  Make sure you modified your short-cut first on your desktop, or this won't work.
  
  Press F12 inside the game to bring up the console.
  
  Type in ''coder'' without the quotes.
  
  It will give you God Mode, Unlimited Ammo, and All Guns without having to actually type in each of the other codes.
  

• Musical Instrument Easter Eggs

  There are several instances where Max will do something when you ''use'' a music-related item. In the Ragna Rock club, you can play a rim-shot on the drums, walk across the guitar to get a twang noise, or use one of the mics to have him say ''Karoke was never my thing.'' Later in the game when in the Punchinelo manor, you can have Max try a few -- unsuccessful! -- times to play the theme to the game on the piano [make sure you have NOT knocked out the lid support before doing this].
  

• Secret area after completing game.

  If you manage to beat Max Payne on the hardest difficulty setting, after the game ends you will appear in a secret area in which Max is in permanent bullet time. There’s a bunch of jackhammer ammo lying around, some painkillers and a few other things. There are around 20 guards waiting for you. After defeating all of the guards the game says “Well Done” and you’ll be able to access a room with photographs of the development team, a special Remedy logo and some other things.
  

• Secret Area In Max Payne Tutorial

  In the tutorial stage, jump on the van where you got the sniper rifle. Then jump to the square thingy on the wall. From there, jump to the fire escape balcony. Go up 3 floors and destroy the glass window. Wala. A secret room with a new gun.
  
  I got the hint at the end of the tutorial where it says: ''Or you can continue exploring the rest of the environment...''
  

• Secret Room

  Beat the game on the hardest difficulty setting, Dead On Arrival, to unlock a secret room, which loads after the final comic book sequence has finished.
  

• Secret Room beside Basketball Court

  Near the end of the chase in part 1 chapter 7, when it shows Gognitti trying to get into a door (yelling punching and kicking). Go behind the satelite dish and jump down onto the ledge of the opposite building. From there you can jump down under the emergency stairway beside the basketball court. Funny poster inside ''Dopefish lives!'', molotov cocktails, and other weapons.

• Secret room in Asgard Building

  In the second part of the Asgard Building, after picking up the video tape and watching the TV news report about Aesir Corp being a huge monopoly, there is a small, dark room with a table, couch etc. Shoot the small painting to make it fall off and a small white button is revealed. Press this button to make the couch behind you rise. Go down underneath it and use the control panel to open the door. Inside, switch the TV on to hear a funny version of Star Trek (called the Void) and open the cupboard behind the curtain to find, er... something else.
  

• Secret Soldier of Fortune 2 Room

  During the chase across the rooftop, inspect the dark window at the back to find a room with ammo and Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix posters.
  

  
  

• Thank-You Easter Eggs

  There are (at least?) two parts in the game where Max will thank you for shooting something -- the first is in the bank's vault where the nosy alarms are going off. Shoot the red alarm hanging above the security area. The second is in Lupino's hotel when you enter the elevator and it's playing ''muzak''. Shoot out the speaker in the ceiling to the right after entering.

• Turning off more klaxon sirens

  While in the underground portion of the Cold Steel plant (Project Valhalla labs), you can turn off the annoying klaxons -- the Max Payne way! Any time you hear a siren blaring, look around the ceiling for the loud speakers. They are usually located by a doorway, except in the main control room where they are near the middle of the room's ceiling. Pop a round or two in to them and the god-awful noise will stop in that vicinity.

• Get the Library Life Upgrade While in Sand Wraith Mode

  To get the library life upgrade whilst in sandwraith mode one must first get to the point where the Dahaka breaks through the wall. You then climb up onto the rafters like would normally and you should see a broken pillar somewhere on the Dahaka's right side (your left). Drop down onto this and you should end up right in front of the Dahaka. As long as you do not touch the Dahaka he will not hurt you. Now, you simply jump right across the gap in the floor and you should cling onto the next ledge which the Dahaka prevented you from. You then continue to proceed upwards and across to the balcony ledges. However, coming back, you need to be careful. It may appear that the Dahaka has disappeared but in reality he is still there so do NOT try to walk in through the hole but go back up onto the rafters and continue on like normal. Deviating from this path and going out the normal library exit may cause game ending glitches.

Secrets

• Glowing Sword weapon

  To get this weapon you'll need a sword that can break walls. In the Mystic Caves, after you get past the first gate that you had to unlock, you'll reach a passage that's divided by a pit with a switch on the floor. Drop into the pit, and at one end you'll see a breakable section of wall. Break this wall to expose a weapon rack. Break the rack and you'll be able to pick up the Glowing Sword, an unbreakable secondary weapon that does a ridiculous amount of damage, but will gradually cause increasing damage to you each time you use it.
  

• Hockey Stick Weapon

  First you'll need the Scorpion Sword. When you return to the Central Hall during the Throne and the Mask stage of the game, rotate the lever so that the ground level gap is covered. Then head down the path you took to get the Life Upgrade earlier but this time rather then going in to door turn right and break the part of the wall with sand coming down. The Hockey Stick is in the weapons rack.

  To get this weapon you'll need a sword that can break walls. In the Garden Hall (Present), starting from the middle passageway at the very top of the hall, do a wall run to the rope, then a wall run to the central platform. Turn left and walk directly through the wall of rubble in front of you. You'll turn around and grab the platform you were just standing on. From here, jump across the gap to the next platform. To your left you'll see another platform with a switch. Make your way there, hit the switch, then return to the platform you were just on. There will now be a block you can climb on. From the top of the block, do a vertical wall run + jump to reach the beam above you. Walk along the beam to the right, then jump to the ledge on the far wall. Follow the ledge around to an alcove. Drop into the alcove and break the rear wall on the right-hand side to expose a weapon rack. Break the rack and you'll be able to pick up the Pink Flamingo, an unbreakable secondary weapon that does moderate damage and knocks all regular enemies to the ground with one hit.
  

• Rayman Glove weapon

  In the main tomb in the Catacombs, going through the exit triggers a Dahaka chase. On the 2nd and 3rd chases through this exit, you'll come to a branch in the passageway. If you turn left at the branch, there's a weapon rack hiding immediately to your left. Break the rack and you can pick up the Rayman Glove, an unbreakable secondary weapon that does minimal damage, but knocks all regular enemies to the ground with one hit.
  

  
  

• Teddy Bear weapon

  To get this weapon you'll need a sword that can break walls. In the Mechanical Pit (Present), go to the room with the fireplace at the top of the pit, where you once fought a Brute. At the back of the room there's a passageway that bends to the right and dead-ends at a water pit. Drop into the pit and you should see a section of wall with light shining through it. Break this wall to expose a weapon rack. Break the rack and you'll be able to pick up the Teddy Bear, an unbreakable secondary weapon that does minimal damage, but restores some health to you every time you hit an enemy with it.

How to unlock the original Prince Of Persia

Around 33% of the way into the game, you will receive a new sword. Continue on until you break a wall and the Prince says, ''It's said they built this palace on the ruins of another...'' Once you cross the next room, you will find a rotatable switch. Directly behind this switch is a breakable wall, although it doesn't appear to be one. If you hit it three times, you will find another room and you will receive a message informing you that Prince of Persia is now unlocked.
You can also rotate that switch until it points to the new room and it will open a gate that allows you to play Prince of Persia right there without having to exit back to the Extra Features screen.

Glitches

• Unlimited Credits

  This glitch only works if you purchase either the Martial Law pack or the Supernova pack add on. Go to any store, and go through the Shop and purchase one of the free Detonator weapons. The gun always comes with full ammo at the starting maximum (3). You can then launch all the mines, and recover them with the secondary fire. Once the gun has been depleted of ammo, you can then sell it back to the store, and re-buy another fully loaded gun for 0 credits. Doing so will continually add your stock of Detonator Mines which you can then sell back to the store for a profit. If you purchase a second detonator and upgrade it, both versions will have the same upgrades. Therefore, if you have max capacity in one, then the one you use to glitch will also have 7 mines each time you buy it.
