• Unlockable Gold Kart Parts

  Unlockable	How to Unlock
  Gold Glider	Connect with 100 people via StreetPass or collect 10,000 coins.
  Gold Standard (kart body)	Obtain a VR higher than 10,000 points or collect 20,000 coins.
  Golden Steering Wheel	Play 100 recent matches and use the first person gyro controls 80% of the time.
  Golden Wheels	Beat every cup on 50cc, 100cc, 150cc and Mirror Mode and receive a minimum of 1 star ranking for each cup to unlock.

Secrets

• Turbo Boost After Lakitu Retrieval

  If you fall off the track or get stuck somewhere for more than a couple moments Lakitu comes to pull you out and place you on the track again. When he picks you up, wait until you're dropped then press the acceleration at the exact moment you’re dropped onto the track and press on the Y or A button. Time it right and you’ll get a Turbo Boost for a short period of time.
  

• Turbo Boost After Ramp Jump

  Whenever you are about to go off a ramp press the R button to jump right when you are at the edge of the ramp for a turbo boost. If done correctly your character will perform a trick midair and you will receive increased speed for a short time.
  

• Turbo Boost at Bouncing Music Notes Section in Music Park Track

  Near the end of the Music Park Track there is a segment where these Musical Notes bounce up and down every few seconds. When these Musical Notes bounce they make the ground around them tremble and if they manage to make you bounce it will cause you to lose speed. If you time it correctly and press the R Button right when you are bounced you will get a Turbo Boost for a short period of time.
  

• Turbo Boost at Start of Race

  To get a turbo boost at the start of a race do not hold the acceleration button down before the countdown starts. Wait until just after the number 2 in the countdown stops spinning and then hold down the A or Y button. If done correctly you will receive a turbo boost as soon as the race starts.
